MANTIS UAV is developed as an advanced aerial solution for precision farming, combining aerodynamic excellence with intelligent IoT-based control systems to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability. Designed through a research-driven approach, MANTIS bridges the gap between aerospace innovation and real-world agricultural application.Inspired by the structure and agility of the praying mantis, the vehicle adopts a hybrid configuration — integrating fixed-wing efficiency with vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capability. This fusion enables flexible deployment in diverse terrains, offering both long-range endurance and precise low-altitude operation without the need for complex launch infrastructure.The biplane wing architecture and V-tail design enhance lift capacity, directional stability, and maneuverability at varying speeds and altitudes. This allows the UAV to carry heavier payloads with aerodynamic efficiency — making it ideal for crop spraying, mapping, soil assessment, and high-accuracy field monitoring.Equipped with real-time data processing, terrain-adaptive flight algorithms, and modular payload systems, MANTIS dynamically responds to field conditions and mission requirements.
